You would have had to be in a cave or very far away not to have noticed the disco renaissance in the air. With the doom and gloom that feeds daily out of the world’s media, people have been attracted to something all together more colourful, freer and far more happy. Disco has filled the void. But this Disco is a new kind of Disco. Created by a new breed of producers who have taken the influences of the seventies, eighties and even nineties house and created a sound that has captivated dance floors in 2009 – this is Future Disco.

The series was born out of a desire to bring together a new emerging genre that wasn’t captured in its depth by any current music collection The first volume ‘A Guide to 21st Century Disco’ released in march 2009 was received to both critical and listener acclaim. It featured a new school of artists including Holy Ghost!, Hercules & love affair, Runaway, Aeroplane, Beyond The wizards Sleeve and many more and sold beyond expectations.

This paved the way for the second edition ‘ The Extended Future Disco Mix’. Mixed and compiled by Sean Brosnan the entire selection is re-edited, extended and remixed until what you get is a seamless journey of future disco perfect for the warm up or warm down. It features the pianos of the huge Juan MacLean’s Happy House, the club smash, Todd Terjes mix of Shit Robot and the unadulterated disco of Faze Action’s ‘I Wanna Dancer’. As well as tracks and remixes from Mercury Nominated Friendly Fires, major live dance act Crazy P and disco pioneer Greg Wilson.

It is an album that selects the best of a burgeoning genre, that invites the listener to enjoy a journey where the destination ends in the perfect mood.
